Jack Warren Cottrell, Lawrenceburg IN, went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2022. Jack was born on April 30, 1938, in Minorsville, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Gordin Cottrell.

Jack graduated from Stamping Ground (KY) High School in 1955. He then earned degrees from The Cincinnati Bible Seminary, University of Cincinnati, Westminster Theological Seminary, and Princeton Theological Seminary. During his college years, he also ministered to churches in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Jack taught in the graduate school of Cincinnati Christian University for 49 years. Jack is the author of 43 books. He authored countless articles and consulted on other scholarly works, including the book of Romans for the English Standard Version (2001) of the Holy Bible.

Jack served as a Trustee of the CRA from 2003-2021. The February 2023 issue of The Restoration Herald will be dedicated to Dr. Cottrell’s life, ministry, and impact upon so many of us in Restoration Movement churches.
