God Hates the Sin AND the Sinner — 5 Comments

  1. If I understand this correctly, the fact that God loves and hates the sinner at the same time is really a function of God’s attributes of love and holiness. God’s attribute of love allows him to love the sinner, while his attribute of holiness manifests his hate toward the sinner. Is that correct?

  2. You should note that this is not just my opinion or my idea, but is the direct teaching of the Bible. When you say you don’t agree, you are saying you don’t agree with the Bible. Is this really where you want to go? Many people have preconceived notions of what they think God ought to be like. Others base their concept of God on Biblical teaching. This is a choice we all have to make.

  3. I need to spend more time on this issue and your opinion on God and Hate, I have never thought of God Hating, displeased yes, angry, yes, hate, that’s strong. God loves His people, gave His Son to die for His people, is that a God of Hate??? Like I said I need to spend some thought on this issue. Right now, I don’t agree.

    • It’s right there in the Bible. If you don’t agree then it’s as he said you are disagreeing with the Bible.
