Hey everybody — if you are interested, my critique of “The Shack” is now available online by going here: http://www.ccuniversity.edu/seminary/academics/faculty
I have several items posted there, including this one: “The Shack: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” Some other items include:
1. “God and Time” — a rather philosophical study of how God is related to time, in such a way that he exists along a time-line but still has foreknowledge of the entire future of this universe.
2. “Pharaoh as a Paradigm for Israel in Romans 9:18” — a refutation of the Calvinist view of Romans 9.
3. “The Tyranny of the Paradigm” — a critique of the Protestant doctrine of “sola fidei,” or “faith only.”
4. My four original, unedited critiques of the other four essays in the volume, “Perspectives on Election: Five Views.” Each of five authors wrote essays on predestination: Robert Reymond (extreme Calvinism), Bruce Ware (moderate Calvinism), myself (classical Arminianism), Clark Pinnock (open theism), and Thomas Talbott (universalism). Then each of us wrote critiques of the others. Unfortunately the editor, Chad Brand, severely chopped up these critiques and published the condensed versions without consulting the authors. What you have here are my unedited, complete critiques. Have fun, everyon

  1. Or: dallas.edu Jack – It’s good to see this site. I have one, too, but just ran across this one. You and I sometimes agree! God bless.
